went with shieh yuan and angela as usual to queue for deathly hallows. i swear, age catches up with you. we get there later and later with every book released, and the natural thing that happens when you get older is that more and more people become younger than you, have more energy than you, and hence get there earlier than you, and stand in the queue in front of you. it's so annoying.
enthusiasm goes down as age increases. i didn't even pre-order this time, but trusted that if they have books to sell to you, they will sell to you, pre-order or no. and did they order in extra stock...:
staff setting up the stack. couldn't see what was going on during the countdown (couldn't even hear the countdown) cos the queue was all the way to the back of wheelock place already by the time i got there. i remember during sec 4 when we were early enough to be in the store itself and there were tv people everywhere getting stupid responses from every person they interviewed. we were so crazy we even collected the tape sealing the boxes that had EMBARGO UNTIL 7.01AM on them. pah.
just happy that we have the books:
also, collected a pair of gold and black balloons that i thought would be so cool to have despite them sporting the words 'i got my harry potter at borders'. but when i tied them to the paper bag they were at a height to keep bouncing at my ears and throughout the day i was so terrified they'd burst. not cool.
later that day went to repair macbook charger and buy new laptop case (SO PRETTY.) with kiak, who gave my balloons to ang mo kids.
