This New Year

i'm awake at 4am in the morning on the first day of the new year~ just spent 3 hours on the phone checking up on whether boyfriend is building up his harem of bffs again and discovering sexual aspects of my primary school bff that i never wanted to know. honestly, hard to talk about nipples with someone i read Animal Farm with. also, found out that someone whom i don't even know and who doesn't even know me dislikes me, sigh.

my new year resolution is to remember my friends' birthdays and at least send happy bday msgs. which was also my last year's new year resolution. i will be more Resolute this year. 21s!

not sleepy at all, been very occupied by stocks and training recently, and dreading the new year when i must start tuitioning. also, decided that i should not be applying for financial aid after all since my family financial prospects don't look as dismal as before. will start doing my bloomberg online seminars also. soon. harvard academic visitors must garner knowledge, else the sensor at the door will zap them for ignorance.

also, wondering how stringent my diet plan should be. just had bubble tea though, which is probably not good idea at 4am in morning. after all, lu jianhao maintains that one serving of pearls has as much energy as one bowl of rice; it's the density of the innercore, i'm convinced. i always knew that bubble tea would save the world, and after i heard about this i'm sure eradicating hunger and starvation is a good first step.

realised am rambling in flow of consciousness in manner of bridget jones, because british humour has had too much influence on my life. this festive season watched Love Actually on christmas and just finished watching When Harry Met Sally for new year's eve. all the while i'm domestically darning fake socks, and blotting tears on them.

shall end off with the following quote from Love Actually. and also, british prime minsters remind me of the tony blair talk i attended this year, which stands as one of the highlights of the many talks i attended, it's almost as good as the kenneth paul tan one :)

Press Conference Reporter: Mr. President, has it been a good visit?
The President: Very satisfactory indeed. We got what we came for and our special relationship is still very special.
Press Conference Reporter: Prime Minister?
Prime Minister: I love that word "relationship". Covers all manner of sins, doesn't it? I fear that this has become a bad relationship. A relationship based on the President taking exactly what he wants and casually ignoring all those things that really matter to, erm... Britain. We may be a small country but we're a great one, too. The country of Shakespeare, Churchill, the Beatles, Sean Connery, Harry Potter. David Beckham's right foot. David Beckham's left foot, come to that. And a friend who bullies us is no longer a friend. And since bullies only respond to strength, from now onward, I will be prepared to be much stronger. And the President should be prepared for that.
